You guessed it — the weekend is here and the magnet of Sunday worship will draw us through.

The scriptures for Sunday are: 2 Corinthians (watch out for this one) 8:7-15 and Mark 5:21-43. If I was to visit your home and look at your personal Bible — the one that is “dog-eared” and located on the coffee table in your living room – my guess is that, depending upon your ideological bent, portions of the 2 Corinthians passage would either be “whited out” or underlined. This passage could lead to an interesting small group discussion — though that is not my intention for this Sunday — just a thought. We might need to install a sprinkler system in the church before we venture into that discussion.

That being said — the sermon title (before we partake of Communion) will be: “Building Community.”
