Blessings All,

This Sunday is Pentecost Sunday — think wind — think fire — think spirit – think red.  Enough with all the thinking.

We will celebrate new members joining this Sunday followed by some serious cake eating after church.

The scriptures for Sunday are:  Act 2:1-21 and John 15:26-27, 16:4b-15 with a sermon entitled”  “Speaking Up.”  Betty and her sister Kathleen and I will be away through Saturday as we represent our church at the Annual Meeting of the Vermont Conference at Lyndon State College.

Faithfully and swimmingly

Blessings to you all,

This Sunday’s service will focus on Acts 1:15-17, 21-26 and John 17:6-19 with some help from Psalm 1.  The title of the sermon is: “Finding the Sacred.”

John’s first week of CPE will have been completed.  Please continue to pray for him and Debbie through this time of intense learning and separation.

Have a blessed weekend

In Christ,

Gary

Peace to all,

Sunday Worship Service starts at 9:30AM, with a fellowship time following!  Please come and join us.

Sunday we will have the ‘Part Deux’ of the ‘Abide’ sermons and we will use Acts 10:44-48 and John 15:9-17.  Last week, ‘abide’ meant ‘rest’ and this week we seem to think it means ‘action.’  John 15 covers both of these thoughts and so does Bob Marley – “Give thanks and praise to the Lord and I will feel all right.  Let’s get together and feel all right.”  Rest and Action!!  Or is it Action after Rest or Rest after Action??  The chicken or the egg?

We will also recognize the acolytes from this year who have kept the home fires burning.  Amen!

And we will have a New Member luncheon after the service.

Peace,

    John

Blessings to you all,

This Sunday’s service will focus on I John 4:7-21 and John 15:1-8.  It is untrue that you can have just too much of “John.”  The sermon title is:  “Abide.”  Just a quick pastoral reminder — Sunday is Mothers’ Day.  You are welcome.

We will be receiving the Blanket Sunday Offering as we support the needy throughout the world through Church World Service.

May the Spirit of Christ surround you all,

Gary
