Peace to all,
On Sunday we will see the self-destruction of David - the chosen one - (2 Samuel 11:1 - 12:1-13a) and we will hear Paul’s suggestion on how to keep in touch with God. God will be present so anyone who has any questions, you can ask God.
Gary and Betty are away on a well-deserved vacation.
Peace to you this weekend…see you on Sunday in Fellowship Hall.

It seems like the best day of the week (weather wise) has been Sunday. Wow!! To make it even better — we will be focusing on the following scripture passages: 2 Samuel 7:1-14a, Ephesians 2:11-22 and Mark 6: 7, 12-13 and 30-34. The sermon title is: “Who’s Building Whose Building?” Kind of catchy. Following the inspired worship service we all will be invited to venture UP to the sanctuary to celebrate the gift of baptism and then we are all invited down to celebrate the gift of fellowship. Should be a great day weather-wise and spirit-wise.
Blessings to you all,
Gary

Blessings and a Happy 4th to you all,
This Sunday’s service will be the first service this year using the Fellowship Hall as our service venue. 9:30 remains the time of worship. We will focus on 2 Corinthians 12:2-10 and Mark 6:1-13 with a message entitled: “God’s Limited Power.” Here is some food for thought. Is God limited? In your theological framework, is the God you worship all knowing and all powerful? Here comes a tough one — if God is all powerful, why is there evil? Why do bad things happen to good people? Wow! If anyone is remaining following the message, we will celebrate Communion. Should be an interesting time together.
Donna Lalumiere is looking for a few people (maybe you) to assist with a Sunday activity time for the kids. If you can help her out for a Sunday, please contact her at: 877-2851.
Still seeking potential VAST students. I will be contacting the Conference office on Monday. If you would be interested in participating in an extended educational opportunity focusing on different areas of theology, history, worship, ethics, etc. in a supportive environment of spiritual formation, please let me know by Sunday. We have 5 people interested to date and we need 10 to begin a new class this September.
Have a blessed and safe weekend.
in Christ,
Gary
