Blessings to you all,

This Sunday, the 2nd week of Lent, we will focus on Genesis:1-12, 17-18 and Luke 13:1-35 with a message entitled: “Jesus With An Attitude.” Ever have an attitude??

The choir will not be singing this week and the Sunday School classes will not meet. There will be an activity time with and for the children.

We are planning an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 27th in the morning. A couple of questions: Do you know where the supply of plastic eggs are?? I cannot locate them. 2nd question: If we cannot find them do you have some to donate to the church — you know - the plastic eggs that can be split in two and goodies, candies, CHOCOLATE can be inserted into said egg?

Nother question:

Are you familiar with the term BIO-FEEDBACK? Do you know of local resources (workshops, courses, practitioners) on said discipline?

Thank you and see you on Sunday.

In Faith,

Gary

Blessings to you all,

This Sunday we will focus on 2 Corinthians 3:12-4:2 and Luke 9:28-43 with a message entitled: “Heights and Depths.” We will also dedicate the ministry of the newly elected officers and committee members who are entering this year in service to the church. If that is not enough — John has put together this year’s devotional booklet (thanks to the gifts of creative poetry by the congregation the other week). He will have them available this Sunday in time for your Lenten journey. If that is not enough we will enjoy the gifts of Coffee Hour with fellowship and goodies topped off by a feast for the eyes as we share our wedding albums/pictures set up around the Fellowship Hall. If that is not enough - I hope to have copies of the book Sabbath by Wayne Muller. This will be our study book for the next few weeks (beginning on the 21st) as we affirm together the need to find rest and renewal - even in the midst of our busy schedules. See you ALL on Sunday morning which promises to be a wonderful start to a wonderful day. Good day to invite a friend.

In Christ

Gary

Peace to you all this weekend (and beyond, actually)
What do Isaiah 6:1-8, 1 Corinthians 15:3-11 and Luke 5:4-11 have in common? God speaks and, if we listen, great things happen within us. Read the verses (homework - there will be a test) and see if you can find where and how God speaks to Isaiah, Paul and Peter. All those with passing grades in the test get 1 chit toward a heavenly room. Communion will be offered to all - come to the table as one.

Also, there will be a Habitat meeting for anyone who would like to join us in York, PA during June 20-27, 2010. If you cannot attend this meeting, let Gary of John know that you what to go. The cost is minimal and we will have a great time while helping others (as well as ourselves.)

Peace,

John
