Blessings to you all and clear – and still cold – Spring day.
Tomorrow — we will be worship at 9:30 am. The focused text is from John chapter 4 verses 4-30, 39-42. The title of the spirit-filled message is: “Uncovered – Discovered.” If you have a bit of time and want to “prime the pump” compare the story of Nicodemus in John 3 with the story for tomorrow – the Samaritan woman at the well in John 4. We will do a bit of contrast and compare work dealing with these two stories.
Following worship we will have coffee hour and following coffee hour we will continue our “Interfaith” study focusing this week on some of the promises and some of the problems of the three world religions that we are examining (Judaism, Christianity and Islam). All are invited to share in this discussion.
Please hold Alice Maurer and her family in prayer as they formally celebrate and remember the life of her sister Jan. A funeral service is being held today in Buffalo and the family is together there.
Just a quick reminder that this evening we will be holding a pot-luck supper — beginning at 6:00 with food for all followed by some sharings from Team El Salvador. Come a be together.
May Christ’s Peace find you today

Blessings to you all,
This Sunday, within worship, we will celebrate, recognize and pray with and for those who have been recently elected to positions of responsibility within the church for this year. If you were recently elected to such a position at the annual meeting please come to church and join in this time of affirmation.
Following Coffee Hour – we will hold our first discussion around “Interfaith Understanding.” If you would like a copy of “Getting to the Heart of Interfaith” — I have them. We will be discussing the Intro and Chapters 1 and 2 this Sunday.
Our worship service will focus on Genesis 2:15-17, 3:1-7 and Matthew 4:1-11 with a sermon entitled: “In The Zone.”
Hope to see you on Sunday.
In Faith,
Gary

Blessings to you all
March seems like it has a personality like a middle school student — not sure which way they are going — if one will be acting like an adult or a child or if it is going to be Winter or Spring. Welcome to the fickle month of March.
This Sunday is Communion Sunday and I intend to preach — something I have not done for a few weeks. The scripture passages are: 2 Peter 1:16-21 and Matthew 17:1-9 (the Transfiguration) which hits every year just before Lent. Speaking of Lent – please do not forget to obtain a copy of the book “Getting to the Heart of Interfaith” for our study which will begin next Sunday. I am planning to have a few copies here at the church for purchase (if money is tight – consider it a gift) if you so decide to partake of said resource. The sermon title for this Sunday is: “Seeing in a New Light.” Do we really want to do that? As it is Communion Sunday – just a reminder – that if you wish to support the Deacon’s Fund please use the Special Offering envelope in the pews. Have a great — though maybe a bit soggy – weekend.
Peace and Joy in Christ
