Blessings again to you all,
This Sunday’s service will focus on Matthew 10:40-42 with a sermon entitled: “Oases (plural for oasis – like more than one oasis). As I have not returned the books to Hopkins Bookstore — we will have the book sale again this week. We will be worshipping in the Fellowship Hall. I am expecting this service to be a bit on the shorter side — I know that may be upsetting to some — but this just might be how it will be.
Hope to see you on Sunday

Blessings All,
This Sunday we will celebrate the power of the Spirit as we experience Pentecost Sunday together. The scriptures are: Acts 2:1-21 (no surprise there) and John 7:37-39. The Sermon will be entitled: “Facing Jesus.” I have attached (again) a list of 7 faces of Jesus. It would be great if you would consider how you have been the face of Jesus to someone this week and how someone was the face of Jesus for you.
It being Pentecost – I expect that the sanctuary will look a bit different this Sunday.
Following the service the Deacons are hosting a summer book sale with selections of books from Hopkins Bookstore. We will be offering these books for the next two Sundays at a 30% discount. Checks can be written to the church. This should be a great way to kick off the summer season.
Peace and Joy to you all,
Gary

Blessings to you all,
Tomorrow, Saturday, we will be celebrating the life of Polly Peters at 10:00 — with the choir gathering at 9:00. If you wish to add your voice to the choir – please feel personally invited.
Sunday is Children’s Day and Communion Sunday. The children will be singing songs and presenting a skit form scripture. All children attending will be able to participate — My Message is entitled: “You Have An Attitude.” Kind of catchy – isn’t it? In the aftermath of so many devastating tornadoes and floods, the Mission Committee will unveil a month long effort to address those needs in Vermont and in other areas of the country.
It being Communion Sunday – you are invited to support the Deacons Fund through a special offering received during the morning offering.
This should be a wonderful Sunday together.
Please hold in prayer Knight Washburn has he will be undergoing surgery next Friday.
May the Peace of Christ surround you all,
Gary
