Blessings to you all,
This Sunday is the first Sunday in October — which means World-wide Communion Sunday – Crop Walk Sunday. The scriptures for this Sunday are: Exodus 20:1-4, 7-9 and 12-20 (The Ten Commandments) Philippians 3:4b-14 and Matthew 21:33-46 with a Message entitled: ”Expanding Into Life.” Some of us seem to be doing that quite naturally – thank you. I think the message will a have a slightly more expansive meaning. If you wish to Walk for Crop Walk — it is not too late to sign-up after church. We will have a dedication of walkers during the service. We need sponsors so — if you wish to support this effort to address hunger world-wide as well as in our area you may do so — by writing a check either to the church with a memo — Crop Walk — or to CWS-CROP. As this is the first Sunday of the month we will be collecting for the Deacons Fund as well.
Have a great weekend and I hope to see you on Sunday.
In Christ,
Gary

Blessings to you all,
Howard Burnham will be with us this Sunday and offer an historical background leading to the development of the King James Version of the Bible. Howard was with us last Fall as he shared his personification of C.S. Lewis. This Sunday we will get a glimpse of King James I. This will be done in a 20-30 minute presentation during the “sermon” time. As it should be interesting to many people we are inviting the parents to keep their children (the older ones anyway) in church with them – maybe 4th grade and up but it will be a parents choice – but it should be interesting enough to hold the attention of most of the kids. We will still offer Sunday School for the 3 year olds through elementary school.
The scripture passage for this Sunday, which will be read in church as well as covered in the Sunday School is: Matthew 21:23-32.
Hope to see you on Sunday

Blessings All,
This Sunday the scriptures are: Jonah 3:10-4:11 (if you have a bit of time — I suggest reading the whole book of Jonah – it will take you 15 minutes). The Gospel text is: Matthew 20:1-16 and this will be the text that the Sunday School will be focusing on as well. The message is entitled: ”Plugging In.”
This Sunday we will begin sign-ups for the Crop Walk.
The Trustees have put together an information packet and they are in your mailboxes about the upcoming gathering on the 25th and vote on the 9th of October considering connecting the Church with the Manse.
Choir practice will be at 8:15 this Sunday and the youth choir will be gathering after church in the sanctuary for kids 8 years old and up.
This should be a great weekend.
God Bless You All,
Gary

Blessings and Peace to you all,
This Sunday will be a first Sunday back using the sanctuary upstairs for worship. We will celebrate Communion and focus on Romans 13:8-10 and Matthew 18:15-20. We will also read from Exodus as we are going through a bit of the early history of the Hebrew people. For you physics buffs (both of you) the message is entitled: Centripetal Force. Kind of has that liturgical ring to it — doesn’t it?
See you on Sunday
Gary
